Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Denzil Douglas recently joined Permanent Representative of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the Organization of American States (OAS) Her Excellency Ambassador Jacinth Henry-Martin, to attend the 54th regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States in Asunción, Paraguay.

The OAS is the prime regional forum for political discussions, policy analysis and decision-making in the Western Hemisphere. SKN is also part of the OAS. These were his remarks:

The three-day annual event, convened this year under the auspices of the Government of Paraguay at the Conmebol Olympic Center, addressed the theme “Integration and Security for the Sustainable Development of the Region”.

The members of the Saint Kitts and Nevis delegation included Alternate Representatives at the Permanent Mission of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the OAS, Abdullah-Skerritt and Shanelle Simmonds and Foreign Service Officer Jamela Davis.
