September 23^rd 2025 marked eight (8) years since the passing of Pioneer and founding Chairman of Nevis Broadcasting Company-the Voice Of Nevis (VON) Radio, the late Mr. Merritt Herbert.

In 1988, he spearheaded VON Radio’s operations and had business interests in the British Virgin Islands including ZBVI Radio.

Mr. Herbert passed away at the age of 80 years on Saturday September 23^rd 2017, in Connecticut, USA and was laid to rest at the Combermere Methodist Church’s Cemetery, Nevis.

In keeping with his remembrance, Managing Director of VON/ZBVI, Delker Herbert-Vardilos, mentioned in a statement that he was more than a businessman.
