Four Bills passed into law in national parliament

The National Assembly of St. Kitts and Nevis passed four bills into law on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025.

 

 

The Bills passed were the Anti Proliferation Financing of Weapons of Mass Destruction Amendment Bill 2025, Proceeds of Crime and Assets Recovery Amendment Bill 2025, Anti-Terrorism Amendment Bill 2025 and the Extradition Bill 2025.

 

 

The Extradition Bill makes provision for the extradition, to and from other countries, of persons accused or convicted offences, and for related matters. The Proceeds of Crime and Assets Recovery Amendment Bill 2025 amends the Proceeds of Crime and Asset Recovery Act, No. 9 of 2020.

 

 

The Anti-Proliferation Financing of Weapons of Mass Destruction Amendment Bill 2025 amended the Anti-Proliferation Act, Cap. 4.43 and the Anti-Terrorism Amendment Bill 2025 to amend the Anti-Terrorism Act, Cap 2.02.
