Four sentenced to prison following $70 million drug find

Four (4) men were sent to His Majesty’s Prison in St. Kitts, by His Honour Renold Benjamin on Monday July 3rd, on multiple drug possession and importation charges. The charges were previously laid following a major drug find by local authorities on a cargo boat, MV Elizabeth C, at the St. Kitts Deep Water Port on October 4th 2022.

 

 

 

The contraband consisted of cocaine and cannabis. The cocaine registered a weight of 801.3 kilograms (1,762.86 pounds) with a street value of $71,369,100. The cannabis had a street value of $140,160.

 

 

 

A court order has been issued under Section 27 of the Drug Act for the confiscation of the vessel, MV Elizabeth C, which is presently in the Tortola territorial waters.

 

 

 

The men charged are Saleem Kevin Ali of Trinidad, Peter Oliver Scotland of Trinidad, Micheal Jevan Jack of Trinidad and – Desue Mc Farlane of Carricacou.

 

 

 

The charges are Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, the Importation of Cannabis, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply and the Importation of Cocaine.
