The Department of Agriculture et. al. St. Kitts announced the opportunity for agriculture stakeholders from small businesses to large institutions to receive funding via social media post.
The funding will be provided by the European Union Caribbean Development Bank (EU-CDB) Regional Food Security Programme. It aims to improve food security, the competitiveness of agricultural businesses in the Caribbean by improving resilience, promoting sustainability, and improving access to finance, technology and innovation for agriculture and fisheries stakeholders.
Potential projects must align with one or more objectives focusing on increasing access to finance for woman and youth, scaling innovative aquatic/agri – tech solutions, the developing of sustainable regional distribution channels for food, resilient and nutrition – sensitive food production and finally the enhancement of intraregional transport and regulatory frameworks for food products.
