Governor Urges Regional Shift from Stability to Transformation at Regional Growth Dialogue

Regional leaders and development partners convened for the 10th Annual Growth and Resilience Dialogue, hosted by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), in Basseterre, St. Kitts, to discuss strategies for strengthening economic growth and resilience across the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU).
Held under the theme “Big Push: Resilient Leadership in a Dynamic World,” the event brought together regional and international partners to address shared economic challenges.
The dialogue focused on trade, digital transformation, energy and food security, and human capital development, with an emphasis on coordinated regional action in response to global uncertainty and rising economic pressures.
ECCB’s Governor, Timothy N. J. Antoine, gave opening remarks and he highlighted that current growth levels were insufficient for meaningful transformation. He called for stronger productivity, innovation, and deeper regional collaboration to drive long-term development:
