Gun Amnesty period: Top COP issues “stern warning” as “bargaining power is over”

 

That’s Commissioner of Police (COP), Mr. James Sutton, as he issued a message on behalf of the police force on Sunday June 9th.

 

 

 

His comments were in reference to the gun amnesty which was held for the period May 10th to the 25th 2024. During that period, it allowed persons with illegal firearms to surrender their guns to police (as well as any attorney) without any action being taken in relation to possession offences.

 

 

 

One “.380 RG Revolver with 16 matching rounds of ammunition was surrendered to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force on May 17th”, during the gun amnesty period, a police spokesperson said. What will be done to rid or reduce the number of illegal guns off of SKN’s streets? Here is Mr. Sutton:
