Guyana cops Miss Caribbean Culture Queen crown for 2nd year in a row

In the midst of the Culturama 50 celebrations, the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen pageant was held on Monday evening August 5th, at the NEDACS Cultural Complex, in Charlestown, Nevis.

 

 

 

11 young ladies represented their countries namely, Turks & Caicos Islands, Haiti, Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, Guyana, Dominica, St. Lucia, Anguilla, Trinidad & Tobago and US Virgin Islands.

 

 

 

In the end Miss Guyana, Shequana Holder, won the 2024 crown amassing a total of 1883 points. She also received the Best Interview, Best Talent, Best Evening Gown and Best Question and Answer awards. Guyana has copped the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen crown for a second successive year.

 

 

 

Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Dominique Trotman took the 1st Runner-up spot with 1799 points and 2nd Runner-up went to Miss Dominica, Kyanna Dyer, 1761 points. Nevis was represented by Ms. Nykeisha Henry, while Miss Desnarine Hanley represented St. Kitts.

 

 

 

Meantime, as part of C-50 activities, the Jouvert morning jump-up was held on Monday Aug. 5th. Last Lap was held on Tuesday Aug. 6th, which featured several troupes, paraded through the streets of Charlestown. It also featured appearances from winners of the recent pageants and contests such as the winners of the Mr. and Ms. Talented Youth, Senior Kaiso and Culture Queen shows.
