Her Excellency, Dame Marcella Liburd, after being officially installed into her post as the new Governor General of the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. This was done during a ceremony held on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at Government House in St. Kitts.
The momentous occasion of the first female and fifth head of state being installed was attended by several regional Heads of State, Heads of Government, other government officials and dignitaries.
His Majesty King Charles III gave the approval to confer the Honour of Dame Grand Cost of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George on Her Excellency Marcella Liburd.
