“The home of our First National Hero [Sir Robert Llewelyn Bradshaw] will soon be converted into a museum.”

That was a Statement made by Prime Minister – Dr. Terrance Drew on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023.

Sir Bradshaw’s house is located in Basseterre, St. Kitts close to the War Memorial.

He was the first Premier of St. Kitts and Nevis and served as Chief Minister, Legislator and Labour Activist.

On September 16th 1998, (Bradshaw’s birthday), a decision was made to celebrate the day in his honour along with others and call it National Heroes Day which became an annual public holiday in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Furthermore, the Golden Rock Airport in St. Kitts was renamed the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport and the Social Security Building in Basseterre was also named in his honour
