The Oualie Water Facility is currently undergoing phase 2 of its route to completion. Phase 1 of the project consisted of the construction of the pier while the ongoing phase involved of a number of facilities and areas.

Even in its current stage, the facility is still available for use by persons wishing to travel between St. Kitts and Nevis on the various water taxis that are available.

During the On Point Programme, Host, Hon. Alexis Jeffers provided the statistics for the total number of persons who have used the facility throughout the first five months of 2023.
