“Increase in speed on new roads” on Nevis a concern, Government implementing ways to slow down speed
Concerns about drivers speed, especially when new roads are constructed have become a nuisance as members of the Nevisian public, continue to ask and wonder “why are they driving so fast or what’s the rush?”
Last year (2020), saw the completion of two major road rehabilitation projects here on Nevis, namely: the Craddock Road and Brown Hill road projects.
Since then, an increase in speed on these new roads and more have been observed.
During last Tuesday’s edition of VON Radio’s “Let’s Talk” program, Nevis’ Minister of Public Works, the Hon. Spencer Brand said the Government is contemplating a way to reduce vehicular speed:
