The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has officially unveiled the theme and logo for the nation’s 43rd Anniversary of Independence celebrations, which will be observed in September.
The winning theme, selected from 336 submissions received is “One People, One Vision, Endless Possibility: Independence 43.”
It was submitted by Dr. Jenson S. Morton of Willett’s Village, St. Paul’s.
According to the Independence 43 Organizing Committee, the theme reflects a united Federation looking confidently toward the future while remaining grounded in a shared identity and common purpose.
The newly unveiled logo is inspired by the historic Berkeley Memorial at The Circus in Basseterre, a landmark that has long symbolized community, civic pride and the passage of time.
Co-Chairs of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Marcus Natta and Ms. Viera Galloway, say the strong response to the competition demonstrates the creativity and patriotism of the people.
They are encouraging citizens, residents and members of the diaspora to take part in the month-long programme of cultural, educational and community activities planned for September.
The winner of the competition will receive a cash price of one thousand Eastern Caribbean dollars.
