As the federation gears up to celebrate its fortieth anniversary of Independence on September 19th, 2023, the nation has officially commenced in its roster of celebratory activities.

The Independence 40 Organizing Committee launched the list of activities planned for the celebration on Friday, July 14th, during a ceremony held at The Circus in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

The committee is currently accepting submissions for its annual Song Competition. The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 31st at 8pm and should be sent to independenceskn@gmail.com. The winner will receive a grand cash prize along with the esteem title of creating the official song for the nation’s 40th year of Independence.

The activities will run until Saturday, October 15th and include an array of school and cabinet engagements, concerts, pride wear days and parades.
