The registration period for the 2025 Prospective Teachers’ Course, is set to open shortly. From May 6^th to May 16^th, the Department of Education invites qualified individuals who are interested in becoming educators to apply. It is also available for current teachers who want to improve their current teaching skills.

Qualified individuals should have a minimum of 5 CSEC subjects at the General proficiency with grades 1, 2, or 3 passes. Alternatively, persons can have at least 5 GCE Ordinary level passes or CAPE subjects with passes of grades 1-5.

The required subjects are: English A, Mathematics, Social Studies or History or Geography, a Science (Integrated Science, Human and Social Biology, Agriculture or another natural science), and an additional subject.

The course is set to take place from Monday June 16^th to Friday June 27^th. Applications forms are available at the Department of Education in Marion Heights. For more information call 469 5521.
