As the festivities continue in celebration of 40^th anniversary of Child Month (in June), a Star Search Contest was held on June 18^th, showcasing the talent of the 10 preschools on the island.

There were three categories in which the schools performed the same piece for the crown. In the song category the Inez France Preschool was declared the winner. The St. John’s Preschool topped the other schools in delivering poetry while the Vern ‘N’ Llew Preschool were deemed the best in dance.

The contest was held under the patronage of a former early childhood Coordinator at the Department of Education, Mrs. Florence Smithen.
