“Integrity in Public Life…part of the very DNA of our society” says AG Wilkin

On December 9, 2025, St. Kitts and Nevis joined the global community in observing International Anti-Corruption Day.

 

In a national address, Attorney General, the Hon. Garth Wilkin, highlighted the federation’s major progress in transparency and accountability

 

 

Compliance with annual declarations has significantly increased, with 161 filings in 2023 and 174 in 2024, signaling a cultural shift toward accountability in public service.

 

A central focus of the address was the theme: “Uniting with Youth against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity.”

 

Corruption, described as a crime that steals directly from the future, undermines education, healthcare, and national development. The AG shared these statistics:
