Police are investigating the sudden death of 36-year-old Chavilal Basdeo of Clay Ghaut, Nevis, who was found dead on Wednesday Mar. 26^th. The incident occurred between 12 noon and 1PM.

Lawmen observed Mr Basdeo lying motionless at the side of the island main road at Pond Hill. Attempts to resuscitate him by the Emergency Services (EMS) were unsuccessful and he was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Mr Basdeo bore no signs of visible injury or trauma. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of his death.
