IRD-Nevis encourages persons to make arrangements to pay their Business License

Representatives from the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) here on Nevis, issued an appeal on Monday, March 29th, 2021 to persons, encouraging them to pay the Unincorporated Business TAX (UBT). 

 

This is a tax levied at 4% of Sales of goods and Services, after granted permission, which applies to every person or group carrying on a business, who is not registered under the Companies Act, classified as “Unincorporated Taxpayers”, sknird.com says. 

 

The final day to pay this tax is Wednesday, March 31st, 2021.

After which, failure to pay will attract a fee of $50 per day.

In speaking with the VONNEWSLINE, Deputy Comptroller at the IRD on Nevis, Mrs. Neva Manners-Limonta, gave this comment regarding the UBT:
