As VON Radio ended its series of “One on One” interviews with the political leaders of the CCM, MRM and NRP in time for the Aug. 5th polls, one of the concerns that has been circulating in the public, is the matter of political alignment.
One such claim is that the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) is aligned with the People’s Labour Party (PLP) out of St. Kitts. During the One on One interview with Von Radio’s Evered “Webbo” Herbert on Aug. 4th, NRP’s Leader Dr. Janice Daniel-Hodge addressed the claim.
Coalitions are not new in SKN. In the 1980’s to the 90’s, PAM and NRP were in an alliance and formed the Federal Government. Recently, PAM, CCM and PLP formed the Team Unity coalition but this arrangement collapsed after 7 years in office. As it relates to the financing, is the NRP being financed by any party out of St. Kitts?
