The 17^th annual Interscholastic Spelling Bee Competition was held on Friday May 15^th, by Nevis’ Department of Education.

The competition had two segments: first was the Primary School segment, which featured spellers from St. James’ Primary, St. Thomas’ Primary, Elizabeth Pemberton Primary, Ivor Walters Primary, Charlestown Primary, Montessori Academy, Maude Crosse Preparatory, Nevis Academy and Joycelyn Liburd Primary Schools.

In the end, the winner was: Ivor Walters Primary School. 1^st runner-up: Joycelyn Liburd Primary and the 2^nd runner-up: Maude Crosse Preparatory.

Secondary Schools segment featured spellers from the Charlestown Secondary, Gingerland Secondary and Nevis International Secondary Schools. Results: the Gingerland Secondary School won the competition, 2^nd place: Charlestown Secondary School and 3^rd place-Nevis International Secondary School.
