Jan. 8th Matter: Minister Grant publicly apologizes and is “ready” to defend if charges are leveled
Federal Minister of Tourism et.al, the Hon. Lindsay Grant.
This came from a Statement he made on March 5th. His comment was in relation to a matter involving him accosting police officers on January 8th 2022, at the Last Lap Bar in Bird Rock, St. Kitts.
Since then, Opposition figures have called on Minister Grant to step down.
One such person is St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s (SKNLP) Political Leader, Dr. Terrance Drew who has called for the “immediate resignation” of the Minister.
Last Tuesday, SKN’s Prime Minister & Minister of National Security, Dr. Timothy Harris stated that the matter is “a live matter” and expressed his confidence in the Police.
Despite the High Command of the Police Force’s ongoing investigation into the incident, what is the status on the matter? Will the Minister in question be charged?
