A slogan was officially chosen for this year’s St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival.

The slogan – “Sugar Mas 50! Fun, Vibe, Energy!” was written by Mrs. Jasmine Warner-Weekes who won herself $EC 500.00.

Over 150 entries that were submitted.

Meantime, the Sugas Mas Committee is inviting the general public to enter its ‘National Carnival Song Competition’.  According to the release, the song will have to ‘embody the spirit of Carnival’.

The deadlines for entries is Friday, September 10^th, 2021.

Entries must include: the typed sheet with lyrics, a cd or jump drive with the song and a signed application form. The song must be unpublished, original, no more than 4 minutes, be able to stir-a-spirit of celebration and be able to inspire the audience to sing along.

The winner will received $EC 3,500.00 and will be identified by public voting along with a panel of judges.

All finalists will receive a total of $EC 1,000.00.
