The 2020 edition of the Nisbett Plantation Beach Club Primary Schools quiz saw Joycelyn Liburd Primary school victorious again.
Hosted annually by the Ministry of Tourism, the quiz was held in three categories: Cultural Heritage, Geography/Environment and Caribbean Tourism and is aimed at creating a greater awareness of the important role tourism plays in economic and social development of the island and promoting destination awareness and general knowledge about the tourism product in the region.
The VONNEWSLINE spoke to Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Mr. John Hanley, who gave the comment on how the quiz went.
Mr. Hanley went into detail the prizes awarded to the participating schools and students.

Students presented with awards for first place from the Joycelyn Liburd Primary school are: Aniya Liburd, Blessyn Grant and Balinda Subramani; students from the Nevis Academy presented with second place were Zaecaria Pemberton, Scion Guishard and Micah Maynard those presented with third place from VOJN primary Adielle Webbe, Jaeda Bedford and Dejan Wallace.
Inclusive of the three awarded primary schools, the other schools that participated were: Maude Crosse Preparatory School, Charlestown Primary, Elizabeth Pemberton Primary, Ivor Walters Primary, St. James’ Primary and St. Thomas Primary.
