Junior Calypso Competition to be held on Wednesday
Young Kaisonians will vie for the 2025 title of Junior Kaiso Monarch, as the First Federal and Greenhouse Band Junior Calypso Competition will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd.
The event, which forms part of celebrations for Culturama 51, will be held at the Cultural Village at 7pm.
Competing for this year’s crown will be Prince DJ, Dequon, Chase the Dream, Mighty Zen, Mighty QJ, Princess Ali, Princess Kali, Singing Kerri, Lega Z, Durwayne and Staharr.
The competitors will go up against reigning monarch “Mighty J”.
The event will include one round of original judged calypso pieces along with other cultural performances. The competition will broadcast live on VON Radio 860am and vonradio.com.
