The Kasanova Band has been named the Road March champions for 2024.

The band copped the title with its song “Legacy” scoring a total of 277 points. Coming in at second place was the Kore Band with “Fresh” at 258 points and third, “Road Wuk Up” by the Odisi Band with 240 points.

Additionally, the Four Seasons Resort Cultural Synergy Troupe was deemed the winner of the Fantasy category for the Grand Parade with 795. Anastasia Revellers won 1st runner up with 784 and Royal Rampage 2nd runner up with 754.

Winning the float segment was the Legacy of Masquerade Troupe with 733 points, 1st runner up was the “Who you bull be?” with 655 points and St. James Fun Lovers Oh land of beauty with 625. In the folklore segment, David Dynasty Big Drum Masquerade walked away the champion with 625, coming in with 566 for 1st runner up was On De Spot and 2nd runner up was NYDC Masquerade Troupe with 367. Winning the Ole Mas Segment was the “Those were the days’ group with 721.

The Culturama 50 celebration culminated on Tuesday, 6th August, 2024 with the Street Parade and Last Lap Jump Up in Charlestown.
