Ketwan Hamilton receives multiple charges, in relation to SKN’s 4th murder for 2026

One man received multiple charges from police in connection with SKN 4th murder for 2026. Ketwan Hamilton of Lime Kiln Project, St. Kitts, has been formally charged in connection with the homicide that occurred at the Royal Kingdom Snackette in Lime Kiln on April 20th, 2026. Mr. Hamilton has been charged with the following offences:

Murder committed against Shamarie Baptiste, Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Loaded Firearm in a Public Place and Possession of a Firearm to Endanger Life. He was formally charged at the Basseterre Police Station on Wednesday April 29th.

Baptiste was at the Royal Kingdom establishment awaiting a food order when he was approached by an armed assailant, who discharged a firearm, striking him in the neck on Monday April 20th. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was a national of St. Vincent and the Grenadines aged twenty-two (22), who resided at Buckley’s Estate.

 

Meantime, lawmen said in a press release that four suspects have been arrested and are in police custody in connection with two other homicide investigations.

 The press release mentioned that “several key investigative and tactical measures have been implemented with a view to ensuring the safety of all citizens and successfully pursuing justice for those who need it.” Investigations into all matters are ongoing.
