Khalia Huggins Simmonds Represent Nevis in upcoming Regional Tourism Youth Congress

Ms. Khalia Huggins Simmonds is presently preparing to represent the island of Nevis in the 18th edition of the Regional Tourism Youth Congress in the Cayman Islands.

 

The Tourism Youth Congress is resuming after a two-year break caused by the COVID pandemic.  The congress forms part of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) events and Caribbean Aviation Day from September 12th – 15th.

 

Ms. Huggins Simmonds was judged the winner out of a total of eight (8) participants representing three high schools during the 2022 Bank of Nevis (BON) Limited Tourism Youth Congress (TYC) held on May 18th.

 

In light of her upcoming trip, Premier and local Minister of Tourism, Mark Brantley, offered on behalf of his ministry and the island best wishes.

 

The congress will see representatives from the following countries: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, The Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Tobago, Turks & Caicos and the Cayman Islands.
