Laptops for the One-to-One Initiative by the Ministry of Education will be distributed on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 in St. Kitts.

The announcement was made by Federal Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley during a Sitting of the National Assembly on Monday, November 20th, 2023.

The initiative was revamped by the current administration, with the announcement being made in August for the ongoing exercise throughout the school year. According to the ministry, the devices have been outfitted with several tools to ensure the laptops are used to its maximum capability and enhancing computer literacy in primary and secondary schools in the federation.

According to Minister Hanley, all laptops for the schools have been acquired but the date for distribution on Nevis is yet to be announced. The programme includes the participation of teachers, students and parents, providing training to stakeholders in stepping forward in digital learning.
