Lawmen charge man with two counts of Rape

Police have laid two (2) charges of Rape against a man in St. Kitts.  Lawmen say the offences were committed on March 23rd 2024, and between April 1st and 26th 2024. The offender was charged at the Tabernacle Police Station on May 2nd 2025.

 

According to the Offences Against the Person Act, CAP 4.21 Part XVI, Section 73, , the section which speaks about the anonymity of complainant:

 

“After a person is charged with an offence mentioned in section 72(2), (such as rape for example), no matter which is likely to lead members of the public to identify a person as the complainant or as the accused in relation to that offence shall either be published in a written publication or be broadcast in Saint Christopher and Nevis.”

 

On Apr. 23rd 2025, a male resident of St. Kitts was charged with the offence of Rape which was committed on Sep. 7th 2024.
