Lawmen investigating armed robbery at supermarket on Newtown Bay Road

Another robbery occurred in St. Kitts and police are investigating the matter.

A press release from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) states that that “armed robbery occurred at a supermarket in Newtown, on Sunday August 31st.

 

Preliminary investigations revealed that between 12PM and 12:30PM, an armed, masked male entered the Hong Yun Supermarket located on Newtown Bay Road and demanded money from the proprietor.

 

A sum of cash was taken before the individual fled the scene. No injuries were sustained during the incident.

 

The Crime Scene Unit of the Police Force processed the location and collected some items of evidential value. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the nearest Police station, or call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 707, where information can be given anonymously.

The most recent robbery occurred on Friday August 22nd at the Good World Limited grocery store in Trafalgar Village. Between July and August, 6 robberies have occurred in SKN.
