Lawmen investigating several armed robberies

The Police are investigating two (2) armed robberies that occurred on August 12th, on St. Kitts. The incidents occurred at the Ram’s Supermarket at Camps, and the Ram’s Supermarket at Bird Rock respectively.

 

 

 

Preliminary investigations indicate that at approximately 6:30 pm on the aforementioned date, four (4) armed and masked assailants wearing ‘hoodies’ rushed into the Ram’s Supermarket at Camps. The assailants robbed four (4) of the cashier’s stations and the vault of a large sum of money before fleeing the scene in a waiting car. At approximately 7:55PM, four (4) armed and masked assailants dressed in all black entered the Ram’s Supermarket at Bird Rock. The assailants also stole a large sum of cash from the cashiers and the vault before making their getaway in a waiting car.

 

 

 

Also on August 12th, an armed robbery of a male civilian occurred, between 7:30PMand 8:30PM at Douglas Estate, St. Peter’s, St. Kitts. The alleged victim went to the Basseterre Police Station and reported that shortly after making a purchase at an eatery, he observed four (4) males dressed in black standing in the dark area while driving. Upon getting closer, the four (4) assailants approached his vehicle, pointed a weapon at him, and demanded that he stop.

 

 

 

The assailants, all of whom the alleged victim observed to be wearing masks, then forced him into the backseat of his vehicle. He reported that the assailants drove for some time before forcing him out of the vehicle in the area of the Kim Collins Highway. He stated that two(2) assailants also exited the vehicle and proceeded to rob him of some personal effects before driving away in the vehicle which also contained numerous valuable personal items of his. The alleged victim was not harmed during the incident.

 

 

 

On August 11th, the Anti-Gang Unit of the Police Force responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Good Life Supermarket in Saddler’s, St. Kitts. Preliminary investigations indicate that between 2PM and 3PM, two (2) masked and armed assailants entered the aforementioned establishment. The business owner was assaulted at gunpoint and pushed to the floor while both assailants stole a sum of money from the cash register. The duo also stole a shelved item before making their escape via the front door.

 

 

The investigations into the incidents are ongoing and the general public will be kept appropriately informed of their developments.
