Lawmen investigating two shooting incidents

Police are investigating shooting incidents that occurred in both St. Kitts & Nevis.

 

 

 

The first occurred on Burdon Street in Basseterre, that left twenty-two (22)-year-old Jalen Archibald with a gunshot wound to the face. The incident occurred on July 30th 2023, sometime after midnight.

 

 

 

Preliminary inquiries indicate that while standing outside of his vehicle on Burdon Street, Mr. Archibald was approached by an individual dressed in black. He reported hearing a sharp, cracking sound and feeling something hit his face. He drove home, then sought medical attention at the JNF General Hospital where he was treated and soon after, discharged in stable condition.

 

 

 

Then on Nevis, investigations revealed that between 4:30PM and6:30 PM, on Monday July 31st, a male approached a number of persons on Pinney’s Beach, who were seated next to a bar and fired one (1) shot in their direction. The armed assailant promptly fled the scene on foot in an easterly direction.

 

 

 

Further reports indicate that the assailant was dressed in a white and red jersey shirt. To date, no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. Investigations are underway into the matters.
