Officers from the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs K-9 Unit have recovered an illegal firearm in St. Kitts.

During a joint search of an empty lot on Friday August 4th, in Irish Town, Basseterre, the units recovered (1) one Semi-Automatic Pistol with (9) nine .40rounds.

The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) processed the scene and took the firearm and ammunition into Police custody. No one has been held accountable for the contraband find.

Prior to this find, lawmen recovered one (1) Diamond Back P9 9mm semi-automatic pistol and matching ammunition from Warner Park, St. Kitts, on Aug. 2nd. This was the Federation’s 23rd illegal firearm seized by police, so far for 2023.
