Legacy of Simeon Daniel kept alive at New Museum

A museum to honour the late Sir Simeon Daniel, former Premier of Nevis, officially opened on Saturday, February 19th at the modern Belmont Gardens, Nevis.

The facility is part of a new design that provides engagement and innovation for the public. The museum boasts modern amenities to enhance visitor experience.

Sir Simeon, the First Premier of Nevis, otherwise known as “the Father of Modern Nevis” is seen as one of the political stalwarts on Nevis. At the Saturday’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, his children and other family members expressed their delight in at opening of the museum.

Claire Jones, Susan Clarke, Janice Daniel-Hodge, Ingrid Daniel-Farrell, made these comments at the event, in reference to their father.

The facility is opened to Nevisians, Kittitians, nationals in the diaspora, residents and visitors just passing through.
