Let’s Talk Panel speaks on increase of earthquakes in the region
Are persons in the federation conscious of the increase in earthquakes in the region and is enough being done to prepare for such a disaster? These and other questions were put forward by host of the Let’s Talk Program – Mr. Evered ‘Webbo’ Herbert.
The topic comes following an increase in earthquakes that were recorded in the region, specifically the UWI Seismic Research Center in Trinidad and Tobago. This includes a quake which struck 113 km NNW of Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis on Sunday evening.
Mr. Herbert mentioned the use of the ‘Drop Cover and Hold on Campaign’ in previous years and whether there is a need for an increase in educating the public on what to do and how to prepare for Natural Disasters.
