Licensing Authority announces implementation of new windscreen inspection standards
The Licensing Authority is advising all vehicle owners that new inspection standards for windscreens will soon take effect as part of the regular vehicle inspection process.
According to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s Facebook page “owners with damaged windscreens are urged to have them repaired or replaced before the end of this year to ensure compliance.”
The Authority stresses that windscreens with significant damage on the driver’s side – where visibility of the road is obstructed – will not be accepted for licensing. In such cases, drivers will be required to replace the windscreen immediately or discontinue use of the vehicle.
The Licensing Authority thanks the public for its cooperation as efforts continue to enhance road safety for all users.
