Littering will continue “until the public is fined for breaking the law” Coordinator of coastal cleanup says

Nevis Historical and Conservation Society (NHCS) in collaboration with Ocean Conservancy hosted its 33rd annual international coastal cleanup on Saturday Sep. 20th, across several beaches.

These included but not limited to: Herbert’s Beach, Gallows Bay and Lovers Bay.

Although hundreds of plastic waste and bottle caps were collected, a problem still exists: littering. Volunteer at the NHCS and Coordinator of cleanup, Ms. Miriam Knoor, gave these takeaways from the Sep. 20th activity.
