Local Officers Shine at Regional Disaster Response Training

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is extending congratulations to Assistant Commissioner of Police Travis Rogers and Sergeant Ryan Haywood, along with Staff Sergeant Lester Phipps of the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force.

They have successfully completed the 2025 CARICOM Disaster Relief Unit Training and Exercise, held in Antigua and Barbuda from July 28th to August 4th.

The regional workshop, organized by the Caribbean Disaster Management Agency and the Regional Security System, brought together law enforcement officers from across CARICOM to strengthen disaster response skills.

Training included setting up vital infrastructure like internet and solar power, running simulation exercises and improving humanitarian assistance, logistics and emergency telecommunications.

In a proud moment for the Federation, ACP Rogers was nominated to serve as the Director of the CDRU for 2025.

The Police Force says it is confident that the officers will continue to serve with excellence, making the region safer and more resilient.
