Lone Opposition MP celebrates 2nd anniversary, urges Nevisians to “remain optimistic”
Lone Opposition Member in the Nevis Island Assembly, Hon. Cleone Stapleton-Simmonds.
Mrs. Stapleton-Simmonds of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) beat the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM’s), Mr. Keith Scarborough in a By-election on March 5th 2020 with 514 votes to 191 votes and thus, became the Area Representative and Member of Parliament (MP) for the St. Thomas’ Parish (Nevis #5).
Currently, the CCM has 4 out of the 5 seats on Nevis.
