Jesus Valdez of John Street, Newtown, St. Kitts, was charged by Police for the offence of Murder for the shooting death of eighteen (18)-year-old Crisbel Rivera, who a male Dominican Republic national who lived at Carty Alley, Newtown.

 On Apr. 17^th 2024, Rivera was gunned down at John Street, Newtown between 8:30PM and 9PM.

This took the Federation’s murder toll to 10 for 2024. John Street was a hotspot in St. Kitts earlier this year: at least 3 homicide took place in that area.

Mr Valdez was charged on Thursday December 12^th, at the Basseterre Police Station. Valdez has had issues with the law before, as he escaped lawful confinement twice in 2022.
