Man convicted for the 2018 murders of the ‘Finch sisters’

Orvis Pogson has been found guilty by a jury in St Kitts and Nevis of murdering his former companion and her older sister.

 

The jury was unanimous in their decision on July 6th to convict Pogson of the double murder.

 

The murders of Naomi and Jimmyliah Finch, or the Finch sisters, occurred in Keys Village, St. Kitts, on March 1st 2018.

 

Reports from 2018 states, Police, upon arrival, found the motionless bodies of 18-year-old Naomi and 21-year-old Jimmyliah lying close to the seashore with what appeared to be chop wounds.

 

Pogson, also of Keys Village, who was in his 30’s at the time, was charged for the murders of the sisters on March 3rd, 2018.

 

Autopsies conducted by Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Valery Alexandrov determined that the cause of death of Naomi was due to homicidal manual strangulation, while her sister, Jimmyliah, died from multiple homicidal chop wounds with partial decapitation.
