A man was gunned down on Nevis on Tuesday June 25th, one week after St. Kitts-Nevis recorded its 15th murder for 2024.

The deceased has been identified as Alexis Hendrickson, 32, of Pond Hill. The incident is said to have occurred during the morning hours. This is the Federation’s 16 murder for 2024 but Nevis’ 2nd for the year.

Additionally, it comes following a tragic traffic incident which took place on Tuesday June 18th on George Street in Newtown.

This resulted in the death of James Morton of Lower Monkey Hill, St. Kitts. He was struck by a vehicle while he was on George Street. Following this, Akeem Whyte of Taylor’s Housing, was formally charged for the offence of Murder.
