Man receives bail following threats made to woman & juvenile

Kelvin Taylor of Upper Fiennes Avenue, St. Kitts, appeared before the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, December 19th and was granted bail, as he was arrested and charged with Making Use of Threatening Language.

 

 

 

Late last week, a video was circulated on social media with a man threatening the lives of a woman and a juvenile. A statement from the Police Force says “the threats made were very unsettling and the Commissioner immediately instructed Officers to move swiftly on the matter.”

 

 

 

40-year-old Taylor was arrested and charged on Friday, with two (2) counts of Making Use of Threatening Language. The offences occurred on November 28th and December 15th, respectively.

 

 

 

He received bail in the sum of $10,000 with two sureties with the conditions that: 1) he should have no contact with the virtual complainant; 2) he should not come within 100ft of the virtual complainant; and 3) he should report to the Basseterre Police Station daily. He is scheduled to appear before the Basseterre Magistrate Court on February 6th 2023.
