A total of two sentences were handed down last week for Indecent Assault.
In St. Kitts, Walter Bass of Gillard Meadows, St. Peters was sentenced to serve eighteen (18) months in His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) for the offense that was committed on May 25th, 2019.
Mr. Bass will become eligible for early release upon serving a third of his sentence with good behaviour. Time on remand will also be counted toward his sentence. Mr. Bass’ sentence was handed down on Wednesday December 17th, by His Lordship Justice Iain Morley, KC, at the High Court in Basseterre.
Then on Thursday, December 18th, Leroy Boone was sentenced to 4 years for Indecent Assault of a 15-year-old female. At that time, he was on remand for 3 months and 11 days which will be deducted from the 4 years that was given. The sentencing was handed down by His Lordship Justice Patrick Thompson Junior at the High Court in Charlestown.
The maximum penalty for Indecent assault is 10 year imprisonment.
