Chelston Hanley of Newtown has been sentenced to serve two (2) years in His Majesty’s Prison for the offence of Larceny, committed on February 1^st, 2024. He pleaded guilty to the charge on Monday Jan. 20^th and was sentenced on January 27^th, 2025.

The time six (6) months spent on remand was deducted from his sentence, as per sentencing guidelines, police said. Mr. Hanley’s sentencing was handed down by Her Honour Rhonda Nisbett-Browne at the Magistrate’s Court in Basseterre.
