Man sentenced for Larceny

Chelston Hanley of Newtown has been sentenced to serve two (2) years in His Majesty’s Prison for the offence of Larceny, committed on February 1st, 2024. He pleaded guilty to the charge on Monday Jan. 20th and was sentenced on January 27th, 2025.

The time six (6) months spent on remand was deducted from his sentence, as per sentencing guidelines, police said. Mr. Hanley’s sentencing was handed down by Her Honour Rhonda Nisbett-Browne at the Magistrate’s Court in Basseterre.
