Man sentenced to serve 11 years in prison following 2023 armed robbery at Rams Supermarket

Mr. Kiaeem Carty, 23, of New Road, St. Kitts, was sentenced for imprisonment on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025.

 

 

Mr. Carty was charged for the armed robbery that occurred on August 12th, 2023 at the RAM’s Supermarket branch in Camps, St. Kitts. At the time of the robbery, there were four armed and masked assailants who entered the premises and obtained a significant sum of cash from employees and vault and escaped in a waiting vehicle.

 

 

Carty was formally charged on August 21st, 2023 with robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm and use of a firearm with intent to endanger life after following further investigations.

 

 

Mr. Carty who had an early guilty plea and having served 1 year, 9 months and 20 days on remand was sentenced to eleven years imprisonment. The sentencing was ruled by His Lordship Justice Iain Morley KC at the High Court.
