Mr. Kiaeem Carty, 23, of New Road, St. Kitts, was sentenced for imprisonment on Wednesday, June 11^th, 2025.

Mr. Carty was charged for the armed robbery that occurred on August 12^th, 2023 at the RAM’s Supermarket branch in Camps, St. Kitts. At the time of the robbery, there were four armed and masked assailants who entered the premises and obtained a significant sum of cash from employees and vault and escaped in a waiting vehicle.

Carty was formally charged on August 21^st, 2023 with robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm and use of a firearm with intent to endanger life after following further investigations.

Mr. Carty who had an early guilty plea and having served 1 year, 9 months and 20 days on remand was sentenced to eleven years imprisonment. The sentencing was ruled by His Lordship Justice Iain Morley KC at the High Court.
