Mandarin classes to commence for the general public on Nevis

Persons wishing to learn the Mandarin language currently have an opportunity to register for classes scheduled to commence on May 22nd.

 

 

 

The classes will facilitate beginners wishing to know the oriental culture, most specifically of Taiwan, Take and Pass the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) in 2024 and wanting to obtain the skill of being multilingual.

 

 

 

Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Department of Education located at Marion Heights here on Nevis. Facilitator of the initiative will be Ms. Chen Chi. Ms. Chen has been involved with teaching the language to secondary students along with others on the island. The language project made history just last month, having the first group in the region of twenty-seven students, sit the TCFL exam.

 

 

 

The registration fee is EC$25 for every three months. Registration for the classes can be done via an online form on the Ministry of Education’s Facebook page.
