The Enhancing Climate Resilience in CARIFORUM Countries Groups Project, under ACP Groups of States along with funding assistance of the European Union held a Media Sensitisation Workshop in St. Kitts on March 1st, 2023.
The initiative was geared towards engaging members of the media and relevant stakeholders including the Ministry of Environment, Education and Disaster Management agencies, on the importance of disseminating information on climate change. The workshop consisted of a number of presentations, discussions and group activities designed to better equip its participants with accurate information.
Presenters at the workshop included representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Cooperatives – St. Kitts and Nevis, Mr. Derionne Edmeade, Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) Journalist Trainer, Mr. Steve Maximay along with Communication Specialist at the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) and Facilitator of the Workshop, Ms. Tecla Fontenard.
