Members of Opposition take oath of Allegiance during Aug. 13th National Assembly Sitting

Members of the Opposition took their Oath of Allegiance during a Sitting of National Assembly on Aug. 13th.

 

This comes on the heels of a sitting on July 8th 2020, which signified the opening of the National Assembly, following the June 5th General Elections here in St. Kitts & Nevis, of which the Opposition Members were not present.

 

At the July 8th Sitting, the event included the Election of Speaker, Oath/Affirmation of Allegiance by Members of Parliament and the Throne Speech, by the His Excellency, the Governor General, Sir Tapley Seaton.

 

Here are the Members for #1 and 6, Dr. the Hon. Geoffrey Hanley and Leader of the Opposition, Dr. the Hon. Denzil Douglas, as well as Opposition Senator Dr. the Hon. Joyelle Clarke.

 

 

That was Dr. the Hon. Geoffrey Hanley, Leader of the Opposition, Dr. the Hon. Denzil Douglas and Opposition Senator, Dr. the Hon. Joyelle Clarke.

Senator Joyelle Clarke’s official appointment took place on Wednesday Aug. 12th, in the presence of His Excellency, the Governor-General, Sir Tapley Seaton.
